Opening Hours

The Prussian Secret State Archives is a publicly accessible institution of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation. Two research rooms are available for use. It is generally not necessary to register in advance for a visit to search in finding aids and archival holdings. We ask, however, that you observe the general opening and request times.

Research Room Hours

Monday-Tuesday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wednesday-Thursday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Prussian Secret State Archives is closed on national holidays and on public holidays in the state of Berlin, as well as on December 24 and 31. Generally, the archive is open on days bridging public holidays and weekends.

Additional closures may be necessary for staff meetings and excursions, as well as for reasons of operational efficiency, from December 27 to 30. Additional closures will be announced in advance on our homepage.
