Priorities
Preserving archival material, making it available to specialists and the public, and conducting research – this is the statutory mandate for every archive.
These activities are also the focus of our work at the Prussian Secret State Archives, which is in a special position as an historical archive within the network of institutions of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation. Since 2011 a full member of the German Research Foundation, the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, and, in turn, the Prussian Secret State Archives, is closely connected to research in the humanities and social sciences. Provision, preservation, research, education and outreach are all equally important aspects of the archive's mission.
