The Prussian Secret State Archives is located in Berlin-Dahlem, a district southwest of the city famous for its villas and parks. Numerous institutes of the Free University of Berlin, including the Friedrich Meinecke Institute for historical studies, are also located in the immediate vicinity, as is the village center of Dahlem-Dorf, which offers shopping and dining facilities. The nearest bus and subway stations can be reached on foot in five to ten minutes. Bicycle parking facilities are available on the archive grounds. There is also sufficient free parking available for cars in the surrounding area.

The Prussian Secret State Archives also offer users barrier-free access to its main building and research rooms. For barrier-free access to the archive grounds, enter via the street "Im Winkel" at the courtyard gate to the left, where you can register your visit with the porter.
